Fitting subchassis
Tools
10cm thin electrical wire
Materials
Three flexible plastic disc washers
Alternatively, three cruciform plastic tile spacers
Assembly
Remove left and right suspension mounts from the plinth, along with the rear suspension block.
Push rear spring through rear suspension hole and grommet in the subchassis, and secure with vinyl washer; to do this, use the wire to pull the spring loop and extend the spring down; then slip the washer in between coils so that it is centred in the spring. For correct adjustment of suspension height you will need about four coils visible below the washer (five if you have an Achromat on the platter).
Fit the left suspension spring through the appropriate subclassis hole, and fit the vinyl washer as described above.  for the left suspension you will need six coils visible below the washer (seven for Achromat).
Fit the right suspension spring through the appropriate subclassis hole, and fit the vinyl washer as described above.  for the right suspension you will need four coils visible below the washer (five for Achromat).
Lower the subchassis into plinth space, then manuoevre the left suspension mount into position (taking care to tip the suspension pivot to below the suspension adjuster wedge) and bolt in place.
Manuoevre the right suspension mount into position (taking care to tip the suspension pivot to below the suspension adjuster wedge) and bolt in place.
Lift the rear suspension block up to the adjustment bolt, and thread it on. Screw the bolt right in for maximum height.
Screw suspension adjustment wedges in for maximum height.
